Cyprus’s construction sector remains affected by project costs, procurement decisions and the need to deliver public infrastructure within approved budgets. On 16 October, both bids for the Paphos–Polis Chrysochous road were rejected, leaving the government to consider alternative delivery options.
Cyfield Construction bid €124.85 million excluding VAT, while Araco Construction and Geostroy offered €128.94 million. The original government estimate was €90.2 million, and no replacement contract price had been confirmed by the end of the reporting period.
